Dizziness and Vestibular Disorders manifest itself with symptoms of light headedness, head fullness, room spinning, drifting when walking, feelings of being pushed or pulled, or simply not feeling steady on your feet.
Any of the above symptoms are indications of a vestibular/balance/ or disequilibrium disorder. They can occur while getting in and out of bed, during any positional change of the head, standing, or walking. Symptoms of dizziness can contribute to difficulty performing day to day activities, walking, and increase your risk for falls.
All Vestibular conditions originate from your brain or your ear. Vestibular deficits respond well to vestibular therapy/balance therapy.

What Can I expect?
- Your program will begin with a clinical and functional evaluation of your balance/dizziness
- A treatment plan is established
- Specific balance, habituation, and or maneuvers will be carried out by your Occupational Therapist
- Incorporation of a Home Exercise Program
- Coordination of your rehabilitation plan with your medical team
The overall goal is to abate, diminish your symptoms, and restore your balance to achieve independence and overall safety with movement.
