Aja Carter embarked on her first New York City Marathon

November 18, 2016

Madison Physical Therapy's own Aja Carter ran her first New York City Marathon on November 6, 2016. Aja has always maintained an active lifestyle; her favorite pastimes being jogging and bowling.  She has always shown great strength and determination in the workplace, mirroring her efforts in the marathon. She strives to help her clients minimize their discomfort and pain and helps them become the best that they can be. We are so proud that she committed herself to the training and completion of the 2016 New York City Marathon!

The New York City Marathon is an annual race that spans 26.219 miles and courses through 5 boroughs of New York City. The average finish in 2015 was 4 hours 38 minutes and 27 seconds with over 200,000 people crossing the finish line. Top finishes are selected and then awarded after the race. The categories are overall Men, overall Women, U.S.A. Men, U.S.A. Women, wheelchair division, handcycle category, and duo teams. Winners are also broken up into age division and borough.

Take a look at her inspiring story told by Michael LoRé on The Culture Trip.
